Does your mind wander during prayers ?

grayscale photography of man sitting on grass field

Are you able to concentrate on God and Just God alone and pray without any thoughts interfering the prayers ?

1.Are you the one doing just lip movements while praying, but wander in a different world full of one thought jumping over to the next?

2.This split second intrusion of your thoughts (whether negative or positive) during prayers really haunting you ? Is this making you guilty ?
If it is so, believe me …..you are not alone.

Is it because our brains have multiple components, each doing different jobs in quick succession, thus making us, difficult to concentrate ?

Are these intrusive thoughts, a basic human nature ? ( since we can not stop thoughts from the brain)

Can you control your mind when you are already burdened with your ‘Life’ ? (burden of life is a reality for all of us).

Is it possible to override these thoughts ?

How to solve this problem ?

So many questions…..but I am finding very difficult to get one perfect answer (though plenty of answers are available on the net, which I am not convinced) which helps to really concentrate on God nothing but God .
I don’t have an answer.Do you have one ? Please guide me.

Some say Meditation helps

“The goal of meditation is not to control your thoughts,it is to stop letting them control you”

theageofenlightement

Again I am not sure of Meditation and how it can help control ones’ mind, since mind sprouts the thoughts continuously.Mind won’t keep quite Even during the sleep, we are troubled by the thoughts in the form of Dreams!

My guess is just ignore them. And Pray God to put an end to these interfering thoughts.Or appeal to God for forgiveness and say “I trust you and I surrender”

Once we surrender with sincerity,God will appreciate.
Please share your thoughts and any solution ( I mean based on your experience), if at all available.Thank you in advance.

Pareidolia

Any Idea what Pareidolia means ?

I did not know till I googled and found out the meaning ,when I started searching for how and why the Human beings are capable of weird imaginations of things that we see and ….I stumbled upon this terminology.

According to rationalwiki

Pareidolia is the phenomenon of recognizing patterns, shapes, and familiar objects in a vague and sometimes random stimulus.

It’s the result of your brain trying to “make sense” of input that really has no sense to find in it.

This is seen often in inkblot tests, where random splatters of ink suggest different images to different people (look, it’s a conspiracy: they’re all deliberately made to look like vaginas!) but also in cases of people seeing visions, ghosts, and other likenesses in what are actually just random patterns that happen to look like those things.

It’s part of the recurring discussion of representation in art ( The Treachery of Images) and is a fundamental component to understanding the philosophy behind modern art
It’s a psychological phenomenon that causes some people to see or hear a vague or random image or sound.

Seeing animals in clouds,or a face or rabbit in the moon are examples of Pareidolia.

Here I am posting 5 photos of clouds and let me know Which

animal/creature/soul you are imagining in this cloud formation. You

may differ the way I imagined.Feel free to tell what you imagined.

I am giving names based on my imagination.

Multitasking

Many people boast about their ability in Multitasking and even telling that, this is their single biggest achievement in their lives.

What is multitasking?

Well, initially it started as an ability of computer to do assigned jobs simultaneously, thus saving lot of time.

However the idea slowly creeped into the Human brains.

Also we are all aware that human brain thinks very high of itself all the time !!! Here is the example quoted humorously.

With age comes skills, it’s called multitasking. I can laugh, cough, sneeze & pee, all at the same time.

Joke apart, let me give you,  some day to day examples.

  • Talking over phone while cooking ( as Debra does in Everybody loves Raymond TV serials)
  • Driving the vehicle during a phone conversation.
  • Getting down the stairs, while talking over the phone.
  • Sending e-mails during a servious discussion.
  • Answering a phone call while attending a customer.I can go on and on.

“To do two things at a time is to do neither”  –  Pubillous Syrus in I st century BC

Multi tasking

Draining the brain reserves for nothing.

If you Carefully look In the above photo, you can notice the gentleman is doing multiple things at the same time.

1. Enjoying the songs through headphone.

2. Something kept in his mouth,I am not sure may be a red candy or a plastic card.

3. And he is also checking the currency notes in the purse.

“The irony of multitasking is that it’s exhausting: when you’re doing two or three things simultaneously, you use more energy than the sum of energy required to do each task independently. You’re also cheating yourself because your’re not doing anything excellently. You’re compromising your virtuosity. In the words of T. S. Elliot, you’re ‘distracted from distractions by distractions”.Twyla Tharp

The truth of multitasking well said by Heidi Klum

“I’m quite good at multitasking, but I have to do things immediately”

finally….. Remember  Multitasking is injurious to the brain-scientifically proved.

Thank you so much for your patience and taking your time to reach this point.
